Thank you for visiting our website and expressing an interest in the Santa Monica Police Officers’ Association. This website will be used to keep the public and our members up to date and informed about SMPOA happenings.
The primary role of the SMPOA is to represent our individual and collective members with any issues related to pay, benefits and working conditions. We assure our members are being treated in accordance with their rights as outlined in Assembly Bill 301 – The Police Officers Procedural Bill of Rights.
The Santa Monica Police Officers’ Association is active within our community and routinely volunteers with various charitable organizations. Our contributions have been received by the American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, American Red Cross of Santa Monica, Santa Monica Pony and Little League Baseball, Santa Monica Girls Fastpitch Softball, Westside Shelter and Hunger Coalition, Salvation Army, Santa Monica Nativity Scenes, Share the Holidays, Bunnie Joan Sachs Family Foundation, California Heritage Museum, Friends of Ballona Wetlands, Santa Monica YMCA, Santa Monica Police Activities League, Santa Monica High School Grad Night, the Santa Monica History Museum, and many others.
The SMPOA also coordinates the department’s Survivor Fund, a 501(c)(3) charity set up to aid the families of SMPD and CA police officers killed in the line of duty.
We are dedicated to maintaining the dignity and standard of excellence our officers have provided to the Santa Monica community since 1896. The members of the Santa Monica Police Officers’ Association are honored to serve the citizens of Santa Monica.
Thanks for your continued support.
