The SMPOA wants to congratulate Officer Donna Southern on her retirement and thank her for her 26 years of service to the Santa Monica Police Department. 

Prior to becoming a police officer, Donna was a courier for DHL. She was a graduate of LASD Academy Class #269 and over her career was assigned to patrol, the Crime Impact Team, the CID warrant desk, and the jail / custody detail.

In retirement, she plans to live in Wisconsin, laugh every day, and looks forward to being a normal human not having to wake up to an alarm clock.
